Server Rules

Parallax is a community of thousands of players. These rules keep things fair, fun and dramatic — in the good way. By connecting to our server you agree to follow them.

General conduct

  • Treat every player with respect. Banter is fine; harassment is not.
  • No discriminatory language of any kind. Zero tolerance.
  • Do not impersonate staff or other players.
  • English in main chat, please. Other languages welcome in DMs.
  • Spamming chat, voice or props will result in an instant mute or kick.

Cheating & exploits

  • No cheats, scripts, macros or third-party software. Permanent ban.
  • Found a bug or exploit? Report it on Discord — we reward responsible disclosures.
  • Account sharing is not permitted. Your Steam, your responsibility.
  • VPN use is allowed; ban evasion is not.

Roleplay rules

  • RDM (Random Death Match) without a valid roleplay reason is forbidden.
  • NLR (New Life Rule) is active for 3 minutes after death — forget what happened.
  • Mug limits: maximum £5,000 cash, 30-minute cooldown per victim.
  • Raids must be advert'd. Counter-raids must be initiated within 10 minutes.
  • Cops cannot raid without a valid warrant or probable cause.
  • Base building must be fair: at least one entrance, no crouch tunnels, no invisible props.

Property & PvP

  • Building zones (signalled with a sign) are PvP-disabled.
  • Do not destroy player property unless you are actively raiding.
  • Printers must be in your base. Hidden printers off your property may be removed by staff.
  • Hits placed by hitmen are valid PvP — being shot doesn't always require a verbal warning.

Voice & advert

  • Advert is for roleplay use only (raids, warns, mugs). Not for OOC chatter.
  • Voice chat must be civil. Soundboards and earrape are not allowed.
  • Recording staff conversations without consent is prohibited.

Appeals & reports

  • Open a ticket on Discord to report a player or appeal a punishment.
  • Provide clear evidence: screenshots, clips or demos. The more, the better.
  • Be honest in your appeal. Lying to staff is grounds for an extended ban.
  • Decisions by Senior Staff and above are final.

Final word: Staff have final say on edge cases. If something feels wrong but isn't explicitly covered here, we'll still act on it. Use common sense — and when in doubt, ask.
